Centrifugal fans do not rely on centrifugal force to convert energy like axial fans, but generate energy from blade movement. When the airflow enters the fan through the inlet cone pipe and flows into the impeller, there is no rotary valve to push the gas, and only about 50% of the airflow is pushed into the back plate/central hub side of the fan, so only a certain amount of energy is transmitted to the impeller, while the other part of the airflow circulates around the impeller and converts into energy loss.
We can change the impeller circulation airflow area by changing the design spacing of the inlet vertebral tube. Changing the depth of the inlet vertebral tube embedded in the impeller or the size of the impeller inlet reinforcing ring will affect the performance of the fan.
